That seeing they may see； and not perceive； and hearing they may hear； and not understand； lest at any time they should be converted； and their sins should be forgiven them。
4：13又对他们说，你们不明白这比喻吗。这样怎能明白一切的比喻呢。
And he said unto them； Know ye not this parable？ and how then will ye know all parables？
4：14撒种之人所撒的，就是道。
The sower soweth the word。
4：15那撒在路旁的，就是人听了道，撒但立刻来，把撒在他心里的道夺了去。
And these are they by the way side； where the word is sown； but when they have heard； Satan eth immediately； and taketh away the word that was sown in their hearts。
4：16那撒在石头地上的，就是人听了道，立刻欢喜领受。
And these are they likewise which are sown on stony ground； who； when they have heard the word； immediately receive it with gladness；
4：17但他心里没有根，不过是暂时的，及至为道遭了患难，或是受了逼迫，立刻就跌倒了。
And have no root in themselves； and so endure but for a time： afterward； when affliction or persecution ariseth for the word's sake； immediately they are offended。
4：18还有那撒在荆棘里的，就是人听了道。
And these are they which are sown among thorns； such as hear the word；
4：19后来有世上的思虑，钱财的迷惑，和别样的私欲，进来把道挤住了，就不能结实。
And the cares of this world； and the deceitfulness of riches； and the lusts of other things entering in； choke the word； and it beeth unfruitful。
4：20那撒在好地上的，就是人听道，又领受，并且结实，有三十倍的，有六十倍的，有一百倍的。
And these are they which are sown on good ground； such as hear the word； and receive it； and bring forth fruit； some thirtyfold； some sixty； and some an hundred。
4：21耶稣又对他们说，人拿灯来，岂是放在斗底下，床底下，不放在灯台上吗。
And he said unto them； Is a candle brought to be put under a bushel； or under a bed？ and not to be set on a candlestick？
4：22因为掩藏的事，没有不显出来的。隐瞒的事，没有不露出来的。
For there is nothing hid； which shall not be manifested； neither was any thing kept secret； but that it should e abroad。
4：23有耳可听的，就应当听。
If any man have ears to hear； let him hear。
4：24又说你们所听的要留心。你们用什么量器量给人，也必用什么量器量给你们，并且要多给你们。
And he said unto them； Take heed what ye hear： with what measure ye mete； it shall be measured to you： and unto you that hear shall more be given。
4：25因为有的还要给他。没有的，连他所有的也要夺去。
For he that hath； to him shall be given： and he that hath not； from him shall be taken even that which he hath。
4：26又说，神的国，如同人把种撒在地上，
And he said； So is the kingdom of God； as if a man should cast seed into the ground；
4：27黑夜睡觉，白日起来，这种就发芽渐长，那人却不晓得如何这样。
And should sleep； and rise night and day； and the seed should spring and grow up； he knoweth not how。
4：28地生五谷，是出于自然的。先发苗，后长穗，再后穗上结成饱满的子粒。
For the earth bringeth forth fruit of herself； first the blade； then the ear； after that the full corn in the ear。
4：29谷既熟了，就用镰刀去割，因为收成的时候到了。
But when the fruit is brought forth； immediately he putteth in the sickle； because the harvest is e。
4：30又说，神的国，我们可用什么比较呢。可用什么比喻表明呢。
And he said； Whereunto shall we liken the kingdom of God？ or with what parison shall we pare it？
4：31好像一粒芥菜种，种在地里的时候，虽比地上的百种都小，
It is like a grain of mustard seed； which； when it is sown in the earth； is less than all the seeds that be in the earth：
4：32但种上以后，就长起来，比各样的菜都大，又长出大枝来。甚至天上的飞鸟，可以宿在他的荫下。
But when it is sown； it groweth up； and beeth greater than all herbs； and shooteth out great branches； so that the fowls of the air may lodge under the shadow of it。
4：33耶稣用许多这样的比喻，照他们所能听的，对他们讲道。
And with many such parables spake he the word unto them； as they were able to hear it。
4：34若不用比喻，就不对他们讲。没有人的时候，就把一切的道讲给门徒听。
But without a parable spake he not unto them： and when they were alone； he expounded all things to his disciples。
4：35当那天晚上，耶稣对门徒说，我们渡到那边去吧。
And the same day； when the even was e； he saith unto them； Let us pass over unto the other side。
4：36门徒离开众人，耶稣仍在船上，他们就把他一同带去。也有别的船和他同行。
And when they had sent away the multitude； they took him even as he was in the ship。 And there were also with him other little ships。
4：37忽然起了暴风，波浪打入船内，甚至船要满了水。
And there arose a great storm of wind； and the waves beat into the ship； so that it was now full。
4：38耶稣在船尾上，枕着枕头睡觉。门徒叫醒了他，说，夫子，我们丧命，你不顾吗。
And he was in the hinder part of the ship； asleep on a pillow： and they awake him； and say unto him； Master； carest thou not that we perish？
4：39耶稣醒了，斥责风，向海说，住了吧，静了吧。风就止住，大大的平静了。
And he arose； and rebuked the wind； and said unto the sea； Peace； be still。 And the wind ceased； and there was a great calm。
4：40耶稣对他们说，为什么胆怯。你们没有信心吗。
And he said unto them； Why are ye so fearful？ how is it that ye have no faith？
4：41他们就大大的惧怕，彼此说，这到底是谁，连风和海也听从他了。
And they feared exceedingly； and said one to another； What manner of man is this； that even the wind and the sea obey him？

5：1他们来到海边，格拉森人的地方。
And they came over unto the other side of the sea； into the country of the Gadarenes。
5：2耶稣一下船，就有一个被污鬼咐着的人，从坟茔里出来迎着他。
And when he was e out of the ship； immediately there met him out of the tombs a man with an unclean spirit；
5：3那人常住在坟茔里，没有人能捆住他，就是用铁链也不能。
Who had his dwelling among the tombs； and no man could bind him； no； not with chains：
5：4因为人屡次用脚镣和铁链捆锁他，铁链竟被他挣断了，脚镣也被他弄碎了。总没有人能制伏他。
Because that he had been often bound with fetters and chains； and the chains had been plucked asunder by him； and the fetters broken in pieces： neither could any man tame him。
5：5他昼夜常在坟茔里和山中喊叫，又用石头砍自己。
And always； night and day； he was in the mountains； and in the tombs； crying； and cutting himself with stones。
5：6他远远的看见耶稣，就跑过去拜他。
But when he saw Jesus afar off； he ran and worshipped him；
5：7大声呼叫说，至高神的儿子耶稣，我与你有什么相干。我指着神恳求你，不要叫我受苦。
And cried with a loud voice； and said； What have I to do with thee； Jesus； thou Son of the most high God？ I adjure thee by God； that thou torment me not。
5：8是因耶稣曾吩咐他说，污鬼阿，从这人身上出来吧。
For he said unto him； e out of the man； thou unclean spirit。
5：9耶稣问他说，你名叫什么。回答说，我名叫群，因为我们多的缘故。
And he asked him； What is thy name？ And he answered； saying； My name is Legion： for we are many。
5：10就再三的求耶稣，不要叫他们离开那地方。
And he besought him much that he would not send them away out of the country。
5：11在那里山坡上，有一大群猪吃食。
Now there was there nigh unto the mountains a great herd of swine feeding。
5：12鬼就央求耶稣说，求你打发我们往猪群里附着猪去。
And all the devils besought him； saying； Send us into the swine； that we may enter into them。
5：13耶稣准了他们。污鬼就出来，进入猪�
